Woodlands of Sugar Oak Office Retreat The practitioners at Health Matters believe that massage therapy can be deeply healing for the body and mind. We approach our work with respect for this therapeutic process. We believe in looking beyond symptoms, to address deeper imbalances in the body and that client education is an important part of this relationship. Owner, Tracey Baroody, CMT graduated from Potomac Massage Training Institute in 1999 after teaching at the elementary school level. A main focus of Health Matters is empowering and educating clients to be able to live without pain. Individualized treatment plans are provided. Tracey works collaboratively with other massage therapists and as well with an acupuncturist and pilates instructor to be able to provide wholistic treatment goals.
Health Matters has participated for the past 5 years in the "Relax, Renew, Revive" medical morale program at Inova Juniper. This program is funded by the Washington AIDS Partnership. The staff at Juniper manage competing issues of client care, funding and large workloads. Partnership medical morale grants support these service providers to build their capacity to work together and provide quality patient care. We are deeply honored and proud to work with this wonderful group of people.
